Switchboard upgrades
in Hampton.

Some of Hampton's older Edwardian and interwar homes still have a small switchboard with ceramic fuses, and wiring that has been extended rather than replaced. That kind of board has little protection by modern standards and no spare room. We swap it for a new board with circuit breakers and RCDs, fully labelled, and test each circuit. Timber cottages sometimes hide extra surprises, such as extended wiring in roof space or under the floor, and we report back on what we find. If the house is going to be renovated, we plan the board for the new loads: ovens, cooktops, air conditioning and possibly an EV charger. For newer builds near Hampton Street, we usually just check the board and add capacity where needed. A clear switchboard also helps the next electrician who works on your house.
