Hampton has older cottages with a narrow driveway and a single garage out the back, and new builds with double garages. A wall charger fits either, but position matters. Near the bay, outdoor fittings can wear faster, so we prefer a spot under cover or inside the garage. We check the board first. A small ceramic fuse board needs an upgrade before it can support a charger, and we explain that up front. For the new two-storey houses, the board is usually more capable, and we plan the cable route from the board to the garage. We fit a dedicated circuit, mount the wall charger and schedule off-peak charging so the car is ready by morning. We can also leave a spare circuit for a second charger.
