Apartments bring a different constraint, since the gas supply may be shared or controlled by the building, so talk to your strata manager before disconnecting anything. Once the gas is capped, we run the cable, fit the isolating switch where required and connect the cooktop. We also check the existing cabinet cut-out against the new model, because induction units vary in depth and need ventilation space below.
