LED downlights and lighting

Large rooms and tall ceilings are where lighting design earns its keep. In a Toorak mansion, a single central fitting leaves the corners dark, so we use LED downlights to wash the walls, then add pendant lights over islands and dining tables. Dimmers let one room serve breakfast and entertaining. We keep to warm colour temperatures in period homes, which suits timber and plaster. In the newer rebuilds, the architect or designer often specifies fittings, and we handle the wiring, drivers and controls to make that design work. Outdoors, generous blocks give space for garden lighting along paths, around pools and under trees, and low-voltage fittings can be hidden in planting. Heritage overlays mean visible external changes are limited, so we keep fittings small and discreet. Before we cut any holes, we check what sits above the ceiling and what the plans allow.
