A built-in oven needs the right connection, cabinet space and circuit. Our oven installation in Collingwood covers the wiring for terrace kitchens, warehouse apartments and everything in between.
Collingwood 3066
Think of a typical Collingwood kitchen refresh: out go the old freestanding cooker and tired laminate, in comes a new wall oven and stone bench. The oven looks simple in the showroom, but the connection behind the joinery has to be planned. In many cottages the old cooker circuit is undersized or shared with other loads, so we check it before connecting anything new. Warehouse apartments often have their wiring tucked into services that were designed for commercial use, which means we spend time tracing what feeds the kitchen. A wall oven is usually hardwired, and the cable needs to stay clear of heat and sharp edges. Once connected, we test it, check the protection and make sure the unit sits as the manufacturer intends. Repairs to the appliance itself are a job for the manufacturer's technician, since we install ovens but don't fix them.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main ovens page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Collingwood.
Good work. Happy locals.

FAQ
Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.
Not always. Many built-in ovens need a hardwired connection on a suitably rated circuit, and an old outlet may not be up to it. We'll check the oven's specifications and your existing circuit, then tell you whether a new line is needed.
