Oven installation in Deepdene often means connecting a modern appliance to a kitchen circuit that was last touched decades ago, so the wiring behind it gets a proper look.
Deepdene 3103
A Californian bungalow kitchen that has not been renovated may have the oven wired to an old circuit run in aged cable, perhaps shared with other outlets. Plugging in a new oven without checking that setup is asking for trouble. We trace the circuit, test the cable and fit a suitable breaker and connection for the new oven's rating. If it is not up to the job, we run a fresh circuit from the board. Wall ovens need space in the cabinet for the supply, and freestanding ovens need a connection that is accessible. A kitchen renovated in stages gives us room to do the circuit work now and fit the oven later. We install only and do not repair. If your old oven is dead, check with an appliance technician, then call us to put the new one in.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main ovens page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Deepdene.
Good work. Happy locals.

FAQ

We would not recommend it. Cloth-covered cable has aged insulation and may not handle the load safely. We would run a new cable on a properly rated circuit to the oven position. Tell us the new oven's model and we will plan for it.
