Original 1950s and 1960s switchboards in Moorabbin homes are getting long in the tooth. A switchboard upgrade brings in circuit breakers and safety switches without a fuss.

Every second house in a post-war street seems to have the same board: a timber or fibre panel with a row of ceramic fuses, probably with a modern breaker bolted to the side. Moorabbin has plenty of them. When an owner adds a split system or a bigger oven, the old board starts to complain, and a switchboard upgrade is the sensible next step. We fit a new board with circuit breakers, RCD protection on the right circuits, and clear labelling, and test each circuit as we finish. Small commercial premises along the Nepean Highway and South Road have their own boards, often added to over time as tenants changed. We upgrade these after hours when needed, so trade continues. If you run both a home and a business from the same property, we plan the board to keep them separate.
