A switchboard upgrade in Bentleigh is often the right first step for a bungalow about to take on ducted heating, induction cooking and a home office all at once.

Many of the bungalows and weatherboards here still carry their original fuse boards, or a board that was patched decades ago with extra breakers wedged beside old fuses. They were built for a different way of living. Today, a ducted heater, an induction cooktop, a dryer and a couple of computers can all draw at once. When owners extend out the back, we prefer to replace the board rather than add yet another circuit to a crowded panel. A new switchboard gives you RCD protection, properly rated breakers and spare ways for the next upgrade. We also check the supply cable and meter connection. In a typical bungalow, the board is in a hallway or on the side of the house, and we pick a position that is easy to reach. Everything is labelled and tested before we leave.
