House rewiring in Fairfield means replacing tired, patched cabling in an Edwardian or bungalow home with a safe new installation, usually timed around a renovation.
Fairfield 3078
Some Fairfield houses have had a bit of everything added over a hundred years. A new circuit here, a few extra outlets there, and cables of different ages tangled in the roof space. When we find old wiring, perhaps rubber or cloth insulation or cables that have gone brittle, patching stops being the answer. A rewire replaces the lot with new cabling, new circuits and a modern board. The best time is when walls are open anyway, such as ahead of a back extension or a kitchen redo. We plan circuits around how you live now, with enough powerpoints and lighting for each room. In period homes we work to keep your original features intact, pulling new cable via the ceiling cavity and under the floor wherever possible. We inspect first and tell you honestly whether you need a full house rewiring or something smaller.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main house rewires page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Fairfield.
Good work. Happy locals.

FAQ
Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.
We inspect the cable type and condition, the board and how the circuits are laid out. Brittle insulation, mixed wiring ages and frequent trips usually point to a rewire. Otherwise, targeted repairs may be enough. We tell you which.
