Induction cooktop installation in Fairfield is a common step when a renovated kitchen is replacing an older gas setup. We handle the dedicated circuit and the connection.
Fairfield 3078
Fairfield kitchens are changing as owners extend the back of Edwardian and bungalow homes and open the cooking area to the living space. Many swap gas for induction at the same time. The catch is that an induction cooktop pulls far more power than the old circuit was built for. So we give it its own circuit off the switchboard, check the cable size suits the cooktop you chose, and make sure there is a free way for it. Going gas to induction also tidies things up behind the cabinetry, since the old gas point needs capping by a licensed gasfitter, which we can point you toward. We connect the unit once your benchtop is cut, then test it before we pack up. Bring us in before the stonemason, and the cutout and cable route are sorted first.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main induction cooktops page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Fairfield.
Good work. Happy locals.

FAQ
Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.
It needs its own dedicated circuit, sized to the cooktop's rating, which we check against your board. Many older Fairfield boards have no spare capacity, so we assess that early. A licensed gasfitter caps the old gas line.
