Switchboard upgrades
in Hughesdale.

Our most common surprise in Hughesdale is fuses sitting alongside breakers on the same board. It tells us the house has been partly updated more than once, and nobody has finished the job. A new switchboard replaces the mix with circuit breakers and RCDs, labelled so you can tell which circuit runs the kitchen and which runs the bedrooms. We also check earthing and the connection from the meter, since those are easy to overlook. For interwar bungalows heading into a renovation, doing the board first is wise, because adding an induction cooktop or air conditioning on an old board can cause nuisance trips or worse. Townhouses near the station have newer boards, but we still upgrade them for EV chargers and extra circuits when spare space runs out. We leave photos of the finished board with you.
