Oakleigh's older homes and shopfronts often rely on boards that have grown a bit at a time. A switchboard upgrade replaces them with circuit breakers, RCDs and clear labelling.

Walk behind the counter of an older Oakleigh shop and you might find a board with ceramic fuses, a few added breakers and wires disappearing into the wall in all directions. Homes close to the centre can be similar, with Victorian and Edwardian cottages carrying boards that were adjusted by every electrician who visited. Our upgrade replaces it all with a labelled board, safety switches on the right circuits and tested protection. For businesses, we try to schedule the work around trading, since you need power for the fridges and the register. If a residential job is part of a renovation, we do the board before anyone adds an induction cooktop or a split system. Townhouses and apartments have newer boards but still sometimes need more capacity, and we can add it.
