Switchboard upgrades

Plenty of Mont Albert houses have had their board replaced once, maybe decades ago, and then kept adding load. A proper switchboard upgrade starts with opening it up and seeing what is really connected. Old fuse boxes are replaced outright. A newer board that is only a few circuits short may just need extra circuit breakers or RCDs fitted. Either way, we label every circuit clearly so the next person is not guessing. Because the original rooms and the extension are often wired separately, we test both sides and tell you what we found. If the house sits under a heritage overlay, the new board goes inside or somewhere discreet rather than on a visible front wall.
