Switchboard upgrades
in Box Hill.

Out beyond the towers, Box Hill's brick houses and 1960s and 70s units were wired when a household owned a toaster, a radio and a heater. The boards from that era are small and tightly packed, and many have only one or two circuits for the whole house. Add air conditioning or an electric kitchen and they struggle. A unit complex can be trickier, since meter panels or common boards may belong to the owners corporation and need their consent. We find out who owns what before quoting. The new switchboard is fitted with circuit breakers and RCDs so a fault on one circuit does not take the whole place down. We label each way clearly.
