When a South Yarra room gets rearranged, TV wall mounting and data cabling usually come together. We hide the cables, add points and make the wall look finished.
South Yarra 3141
A flat-screen TV on a brick wall looks great until the cables are dangling below it. In a Victorian terrace, we can often run them inside the wall cavity, or along the floor space beneath. In a concrete apartment, hiding cables is harder, so we plan surface trunking that looks neat. Data points matter just as much. Wi-Fi alone can struggle through thick brick, so a wired data point at the desk, the TV and the router makes streaming and video calls steadier. Many people near Chapel Street now work from home and want a proper cabled connection in the study. We also install TV points and check antenna outlets, since older homes may have a single TV point left from decades ago. Wall mounting needs the right fixings for the surface, and we match them to brick, plaster or stud.

Often we can run cables behind the plaster or through the roof space and floor cavity to a neat outlet behind the TV. Solid brick makes chasing harder, so we look at the wall first. If it is not practical, we use tidy surface trunking.
