A home EV charger installation in South Yarra comes down to one thing before anything else: where you park. We install wall chargers in garages, carports and shared basements.
South Yarra 3141
Many South Yarra homes have no driveway at all. Terraces sit tight to the footpath, and flats rely on a basement car park or a single allocated space. That shapes the job. For an EV charger installation in a house with a garage, we run a separate circuit from the main board to a wall charger and check the board can cope with the extra load. In a tower near Chapel Street, the charger usually needs a cable run through common areas, so body-corporate approval and a clear plan for metering come first. We can help you prepare that request. Most owners want off-peak charging overnight, and many chargers can be scheduled for exactly that. If your board is old, we flag it early, because an EV charger can run for hours and that is hard on tired wiring. We will also tell you straight if street parking means a home charger is not practical yet.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main ev chargers page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician South Yarra.
Good work. Happy locals.

“Called Steve for a job in South Yarra and was extremely pleased with his services, from coming in early for just a quote and then coming back for the job, even though it was last minute, he managed to get it done before time! Excellent communication and always on time! He did more than what I expected and was super efficient along with his colleague! No time wasted and left the place clean and organised before they left!”

Often you can, but it needs body-corporate approval and a plan for how the power is metered back to your unit. We look at the building's switchboard and cable route, then help you put the request together. Some buildings already have an approved process for owners.
