Kitchens updated years ago often skipped a circuit review. Induction cooktop installation in Clifton Hill is a good moment to fix that, with a dedicated circuit and a board check.
Clifton Hill 3068
Many Clifton Hill homes had the kitchen done up some time ago, with new cabinets and appliances but the original circuits behind the walls. An induction cooktop is a heavy load and shouldn't share a line with anything. We check the existing cooktop circuit, the cable's size and condition and the board's spare capacity. Often a new cable from the board is the right answer, run through the roof space or under the floor and up into the cabinetry, to keep the period walls untouched. Switching from gas usually means a gasfitter disconnects the old supply, and we connect the new cooktop and test it. Owners of heritage homes sometimes worry about kitchen changes, but induction suits them well: no flame, no gas line, easy to keep clean. We'll plan with your cabinet maker and tell you the pan types that work with induction.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main induction cooktops page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Clifton Hill.
Good work. Happy locals.

“Select electrical was recommended by my son. Their quoted price was spot on with no hidden extras. Great job and will use them again”

FAQ
Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.
Possibly not. Old cooker circuits were sized for a different appliance and may share loads. We test the circuit, check the cable and breaker size and tell you whether it can be reused or a new circuit is needed.
