Powerpoint installation
in Clifton Hill.

A restored Victorian or Edwardian house often has lovely floors, tall skirtings and fireplaces, and perhaps four outlets in the whole living area. Adding more takes some care. We start by looking at where cable can travel unseen: under suspended timber floors, through the roof space or inside a cavity. Original skirtings can sometimes be lifted, a cable laid and the board refitted, which keeps the wall face untouched. Where a fireplace or a picture rail stands in the way, we move the position slightly instead of cutting through the detail. We can add double powerpoints for the study, USB-C outlets for the kitchen bench, or outdoor powerpoints for a deck or verandah. Kitchens upgraded in the past without a circuit review are common here, so we check that the new outlets don't just pile load onto an already busy line.

What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main powerpoints page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Clifton Hill.
