Induction Cooktops for
Richmond homes.

Most Richmond kitchens are compact. A single-fronted cottage may have a galley kitchen at the back, with a gas hob sitting in a short bench. Induction's flat surface gives you back precious bench space, and the glass top can be wiped down as a work area when it's off. The sticking point is power. An induction cooktop needs its own dedicated circuit, and in a house with an old board, that may mean upgrading the board first. We work out the cable route before the day, because renovated cottages often have finished rear extensions with little access. Apartments are usually easier, as the circuit may already exist from a previous electric cooktop. If you're converting from gas, the gas line needs to be capped by a licensed gasfitter.

What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main induction cooktops page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Richmond.

Good work. Happy locals.

FAQ

Induction Cooktops in Richmond: FAQs

Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.

My Richmond cottage kitchen is tiny. Is a dedicated induction circuit still possible?

Almost always. The circuit runs from the board to the cooktop position, which is a short distance in a small house. We'll check the board space and the route through the roof or floor before we quote.
