Victorian cottages tend to be narrow and deep, with the middle rooms getting little daylight. A row of LED downlights down the hallway and a dimmable pendant in the dining area lifts the whole house. Roof spaces in older cottages can be tight, so we check clearance before we cut anything. Warehouse conversions are a different challenge, since high ceilings and exposed beams mean standard downlights don't reach. We use track lighting, long-drop pendants or fittings mounted to beams. In apartments, body corporate rules and shared ceiling spaces limit what's possible, and we work within them. Heritage overlays cover many Richmond streets, so any visible external lighting is kept small and discreet. We'll ask how you use each room before we recommend a single fitting.
