Induction cooktop installation in Ripponlea tends to arrive with a new kitchen. We handle the move from gas to induction, including the dedicated circuit and a check of the board.
Ripponlea 3185
Owners here want modern kitchens in homes with a lot of period charm, and the cooktop is part of that. Induction suits a heritage house well, because there is no flue and the surface is flat. The catch is power. A cooktop needs a dedicated circuit, and the cable has to reach the kitchen from a board that may be old. We test the existing wiring first, because some Ripponlea houses have original circuits in some rooms. Then we plan a route through the roof or subfloor so the new cabling does not scar the walls. Where gas is being retired, a licensed gasfitter caps the supply, and we line up the timing. We keep an eye on cornices and timber details during the work. We install the cooktop and its circuit and do not repair appliances.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main induction cooktops page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Ripponlea.
Good work. Happy locals.

FAQ

Not always. We test the existing wiring and board. If they are sound, we add a dedicated circuit for the cooktop. If the old cable is brittle or the board is full, we deal with that first. We tell you what is needed before work starts.
