A new oven should sit neatly in the joinery and run on a circuit that suits it. Our oven installation in Glen Iris covers bungalow renovations and new townhouse kitchens alike.
Glen Iris 3146
When the kitchen of an interwar house gets rebuilt, the oven often moves from the old stove position into a tall cabinet at chest height. That means a new connection point inside the cavity and often a new cable back to the board. We check the old wiring before we trust it. Sometimes the existing circuit was shared with other outlets and needs to be separated. In townhouses and rebuilds, ovens are usually already wired in and the job is simply swapping a new model into the same space, after we confirm the circuit rating matches. We leave a tidy isolation point so the oven can be switched off safely for cleaning or later replacement. We only install ovens. If yours stops heating, an appliance repairer is the right person to call.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main ovens page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Glen Iris.
Good work. Happy locals.

FAQ
Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.
It might. We check the new oven's rated load against the existing circuit and cable, and confirm the cabinet cutout fits. If the circuit is undersized, we'll upgrade it before we install. We'll also leave an isolation switch so the oven can be disconnected safely later.
