Induction cooktop installation

A bungalow kitchen was usually a small room at the back with a gas stove and a couple of circuits shared with everything else. When owners extend and open up the kitchen to the garden, induction becomes a popular choice. It wants its own dedicated circuit, and that's where the old wiring and board can be the sticking point. We check the board first, run the cable, and install the cooktop in the same visit if the benchtop is ready. Townhouses and newer builds are simpler. Many already have the circuit, or only need a connection. Switching away from gas also tidies up the walls, but the gas supply needs to be capped properly by someone licensed for that work. Remember to test your cookware with a magnet before you commit.
