Glen Iris bungalows were wired for a radio and an iron. Extra powerpoints are one of the most useful upgrades you can make, and we handle powerpoint installation for older homes and new extensions alike.

Walk through a Californian bungalow near Burke Road and you'll find the same story. Two outlets in the lounge, one in each bedroom and a kitchen that has collected leads over the years. The wiring has usually been added to piecemeal, so some outlets share circuits in odd ways. We map what's there before we add more, because a new double powerpoint is only useful if the circuit behind it can cope. Rear extensions and second storeys are the ideal time to do it properly, with outlets built into the new plan from the start. In townhouses and rebuilds, the complaint is often the opposite. The outlets are there, but not where the furniture went. We move or add GPOs, fit USB-C outlets in the kids' rooms and put an outdoor powerpoint on the deck.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main powerpoints page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Glen Iris.
Good work. Happy locals.

“Steven provided a good and accurate quote over the phone and the job came in on price. Contacted about arrival time the night before and showed up when expected. The outdoor power point was installed within 20 minutes and the job was finished and cleaned well. Nice to deal with and enjoyed our dog coming by to check out what was going on.”

FAQ
Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.
Yes, that's the easiest moment to do it, since cables run through open frames. Give us the floor plan and we'll mark outlet positions with you, including data, USB-C and outdoor points, before the plasterer arrives.
