House rewiring in Surrey Hills is common in weatherboards, where old cable in the roof and under the floor may be well past its best. We plan the job so the lining stays put.
Surrey Hills 3127
A weatherboard house has two good hiding places for a rewire: the roof space and the subfloor. We use both. Cable gets pulled across the roof and down the wall cavities, or run under the floor and up to each outlet, with small, tidy openings where we need them. Tight frames mean the work takes thought, since noggins and bracing block the path in places. Old rubber or cloth wiring, original fuses and patched joins are the usual reasons a house here needs a rewire. If you are renovating, rewire before the new lining goes on. If you are living in the house, we can do it in stages, room by room, keeping power on where possible. We also fit a new board with safety switches as part of the job and test everything before we sign off. The result is a house where the wiring matches the way you live today.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main house rewires page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Surrey Hills.
Good work. Happy locals.

FAQ
Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.
Yes, in most cases. We usually work in stages, so some rooms keep power while others are done. It is a little untidy at times, but it avoids moving out. We talk through the order of work with you first, so you know where the disruption will be.
