With so many units and flats close to the campus, a switchboard is often a shared cupboard or a small panel inside a lobby wall. Older boards may still hold ceramic fuses or breakers with no safety switches at all. That matters in rentals, where several people share one supply and run kettles, heaters and laptops together. We fit RCD protection and neat labelled circuit breakers so a fault drops one circuit and not the whole flat. Because the meter room belongs to the building, we sort out access with the agent or owners corporation beforehand. We tell tenants when the power will be off, keep it as short as practical and test everything before we leave. If you manage several units, we can report on each board separately.
