Houses from before the war were wired for a handful of lights and a stove. Over time, owners added circuits where there was room on the board, and many still have no RCD protection at all. That is a real safety gap, because an RCD is what cuts power when a fault sends current somewhere it should not. We fit a new board with RCDs and circuit breakers, label each circuit and leave space to grow. Landlords often ask for this when a tenancy turns over, and we provide a clear record of what was done. For the flats, boards may sit in shared meter rooms, so we line up access with the agent or building manager well beforehand. We tell tenants when power will be off and test before we leave. You get a board that is safe and easy to read.
