This is one of the quieter, more established pockets near the bay. Many streets are lined with substantial Victorian and Edwardian homes, plus well-kept interwar flat blocks and a few later apartment buildings closer to the water. Heritage overlays cover a lot of the area, so we keep any visible external work discreet and leave street-facing facades alone where we can. The coastal air corrodes standard outdoor lights and exposed connections faster than inland, so we choose fittings rated for it. Inside, these big old houses often have boards that were never sized for modern kitchens, heating and cooling, which is where most of our work starts.
