We look at the whole kitchen load, not just the cooktop. On an island bench, the cutout is often set in stone, so we confirm dimensions with the supplier before anything is ordered. Extraction is another detail. An island hood may need its own power point in the ceiling or a cable run through the floor. A gasfitter has to cap the old line, and we coordinate.
