Warehouse conversions, studios and tiny cottages all end up short of outlets. Powerpoint installation in Collingwood often means working around exposed brick, heritage rules and wiring that's been added to for generations.
Collingwood 3066
Ask how many powerpoints a Collingwood cottage was built with and the honest answer is hardly any. Over the years owners have added them, usually by tapping the nearest circuit, so one old line may now feed half the house. We start by finding out what's on each circuit, then add outlets without overloading it. In warehouse apartments and studios the walls are often brick or concrete. There we use neat surface conduit, or bring cable in overhead and drop it down in one tidy line. A standing desk, a coffee machine and a few monitors need more than a single GPO behind the sofa. We can fit double powerpoints, a USB-C outlet where you charge devices, or outdoor powerpoints for a courtyard. Because heritage overlays cover much of the suburb, we keep anything visible from the street discreet and put new outlets inside.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main powerpoints page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Collingwood.
Good work. Happy locals.

Yes. In exposed brick we usually use neat surface conduit in matching colours, or bring cable in through the ceiling. We'll mark the routes with you first so the conduit follows lines that already exist, like a beam or a skirting.
