House rewiring in Hampton East is rarely needed on newer townhouses, but some post-war brick veneers still carry their original cable. We inspect first and tell you honestly if a rewire is warranted.
Hampton East 3188
Most Hampton East townhouses will never need a rewire, so we say so. The older homes are another story. A post-war weatherboard that has not been touched since the fifties may have rubber or cloth-wrapped cable in the walls, brittle where it bends and crumbling around fittings. We look in the roof, check the board, and test insulation resistance where we can. If the wiring is sound and just under-capacity, targeted upgrades usually do the job. If it is breaking down, a full rewire is the right call, and the sensible time is before you repaint or re-plaster. We stage the job so you know which rooms lose power and when, and we patch access holes as we go. Brick veneer can be harder to fish cable through, so we explain the approach before we start.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main house rewires page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Hampton East.
Good work. Happy locals.

FAQ
Can't see your question? Call Steve on 0450 347 495.
We test the circuits, inspect cable above the ceiling and under the floor, and look for brittle insulation or scorch marks at fittings. Then we give you a straight answer. Many homes only need a new board and a few replaced runs, not a full rewire.
