Few Collingwood homes have a driveway, so EV charger installation here starts with where the car parks. We look at your board, your garage or car park, and what's practical.
Collingwood 3066
Collingwood's narrow streets and tight lots mean many residents park on the street or in a shared basement car park. That limits who can fit a home EV charger, but it doesn't rule everyone out. Some of the newer apartment buildings along the main roads have basement parking where a charger needs body corporate approval and a clear supply route. Townhouses with a garage are more straightforward: we check the board, find a path for the cable and mount a wall charger on a dedicated circuit. If your switchboard is an old fuse type, it will probably need upgrading first, and we'll say so early. Off-peak charging is usually something you set up in the car or charger once installed. Before you buy a charger or a car, send us a few photos of the board and the parking spot and we'll tell you what's realistic.
What the job involves, warning signs and what's included are on our main ev chargers page. For everything else we do locally, see electrician Collingwood.
Good work. Happy locals.

Not unless you have off-street parking you can use, because the charger needs to sit next to the car. If you have a garage, carport or shared basement spot, we can look at it. Otherwise public chargers are the practical choice for now.
