Concrete floors, brick walls and big open ceilings make warehouse apartments hard to heat and cool evenly, and that's where ceiling fans earn their place. In a terrace or cottage the picture is different: you probably want a split system in the main living room, and the board may have to be upgraded to supply it. First we confirm what the supply can handle. Then we plan the cable between the switchboard and both units, with an isolator fitted at the outdoor one. Warehouse and apartment buildings can restrict where outdoor units hang, so ask your strata manager before you buy. Pipework between the units is a separate licensed trade, and we'll fit our work around your installer's schedule. Ceiling fan installation also needs a solid fixing point, so we locate the beam or joist rather than trusting the plaster.
