Many Elwood flats still run on boards from decades ago, with a few ceramic fuses and not much room to add more. Meanwhile the household has an air conditioner, an induction cooktop and plenty of electronics. We start by testing the existing wiring, then replace the board with circuit breakers and RCDs. Where the board sits matters too. Some streets near the canal are low-lying, so we think about height and placement and avoid putting a new board somewhere that could get wet.
